Ms. Murphy is a subject matter expert in counseling, education and healthcare training. Ms. Murphy has prided herself in understanding her community and the people she serves. Over the course of many years, she has served as a Registered Nurse and Healthcare Advocate and remains dedicated to equity outcomes.
In 1999, she followed her passion moving into the field of mental health counseling. She works tirelessly to make her clients understand that their voice is heard. As a strong advocate for eliminating mental health stigma, she focused on educating various populations to seek professional services and manage their life changes.
She served as grant reviewer for the National Advisory Center for Healthcare Strategies Inc. for Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where she worked to improve asthma outcomes for children with asthma.
Appointed to the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) Examination Sensitivity and Bias Review Committee for five (5) years.
Ms. Murphy’s experience working multiple nursing specialties and internal counseling, has led her to motivational speaking and training. As an international trained mental health advocate, she emphasized “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” before it was the “popular” topic of discussion. Armed as a compassionate presenter, she challenges individuals to tackle the issues head on by offering "A Checkup from the Neck up."
Doves are often seen as symbols of peace, spirituality, hope, renewal, transformation, and love. They can also represent compassion and kindness to others during difficult transitions. Priscilla Murphy believes that one must take a wholistic approach in establishing and maintaining a balanced life and sound mental health.
